Keeping the boys busy....

It was right at the end of A.L.S. (a school) for Clayton and he had TONS of studying to do. Not really that big of a deal, but the boys REALLY wanted to play with daddy. They played for a hour or so until I found a good way to distract them. Let's make a train!!!! They loved it. And, they did ALL of the decorating them selves. I did not touch a single piece of candy ( I was strictly the frosting monitor!)

Dad's awesome Birthday cake!!! All Aboard!

Clayton can make any food turn into a scene, can you tell? Everyone is surprized to find out that he is the one that make the Birthday cakes, but it really is all him. He is so good at it. This year, he did have a bit of help from my mom in a weird long distance sort of way. She found a cake/jello mold that is in the shape of a train engine, 7 train cars, and a caboose. Perfect for Kaiden's party so Clayton just had to think of the rest. I might be a little biased, but I think it turned out great. Kaiden absolutely LOVED it too. He thought it was "awesome"!!!!

Kaiden's 3rd Birthday

Kaiden is officially 3! We had his Birthday party a couple of weeks ago to try and separate the time between Birthday and Christmas a little bit. We figure he's 3 and doesn't have a clue when he really is turning 3 anyway...but now, he really is 3. Yea!!! So have you ever heard that you can double your child's height at the age of 3 to find an approximate adult height???? Has anyone ever heard this besides me???? Well, Kaiden is going to be 5'10" according to this "theory". I have also heard that it is at the age of 2.5 that you are supposed to measure so if that is the case then he'll only be 5'8.5". We hoping that it's the 3 year old mark. My poor kids don't have much of a chance when it comes to height, but Kaiden is definately the most vertically challenged. I keep hoping that since he is short and feeless that maybe he'll become a gymnast! Today that wasn't what he wanted. He was all about being a train conductor! ALL ABOARD!!!!!

Winter Wonderland

Our last family pictures were done in Guam and that really wasn't all that long ago. But for us, the last year has made quite a difference and we definately needed new pictures. I am so happy about this too. I was lucky enough to get my tropical family pictures then...and to come to Alaska now, you'd better believe that I wanted those Winter Wonderland type family pictures. Our photo shoot was very successful considering the temperature and having 3 kids now. Who knew that 3rd child would make such a difference??? Let me tell you, when there are 3 and you are standing in a foot of snow, one of them has to end up walking. Weston, you are a trooper!! It was a warmer day (+15*) but we still were cold. (Mostly because I am a dork and wanted us to somewhat be coordinanted in our outfits and that doesn't work so well when we are all in our snow gear. So, we all have 3 or 4 shirts on and were braving the cold that way.) In between different shots we all jumped (litterally) into Karla's car and warmed up for the next series of pictures. That seemed to work out ok until we ran out of light. All in all, I am glad that they are done and over with, and I am glad that they are done in time for Christmas cards!!
